On the first inspection, I thought the formula would be way too opaque, but it’s almost exactly the same when blended. I LOVE Bad to the Bronze, but Groundwork is perfect for lazy days and occasions that call for toned down makeup. I feel like it’s a more sophisticated version of the Maybelline Bad to the Bronze which has quite a bit of shimmer in it. Of course, a neutral base like this is perfect underneath shadows because it prolongs the wear time and helps the shadows stand out more, but I love them on their own too! As you can see, my MAC Paint Pot in the shade Groundwork is very well loved. One of my go-to products is a neutral cream eyeshadow base because it’s a quick way to add some depth and definition to the eyes.
